The interior balances a modern aesthetic with plenty of natural greenery that brings a sense of calm to the room. It feels more like a gathering spot for locals and their pets than a generic café. Seating is varied but leans toward minimal comfort with hard stools featuring webbed seats and thin cushions along the walls. This subtle discomfort seems to encourage short stays rather than lingering long hours.
The cup
I tried the strawberry matcha, which offered a pleasant balance without being overly grassy or too sweet. The colours in the cup are beautiful and the strawberry flavor complements but never overpowers the matcha. It is ceremonial grade from Uji, Kyoto, and that quality is clearly evident in the delicate sweetness and smooth texture. The pistachio latte was sold out on my visit, a clear sign of its popularity, and it will be worth a return trip to try it.
Worth knowing
